Is the bathroom on the same floor as the master bedroom?

    1. Abbey Pontius

The “master” bedroom would actually be on the 2nd floor. On the main floor is the bedroom with the bunk beds. Then upstairs you have the den/office and the other bedroom.

    2. Rachel Eads

So which floor is the bathroom on?

    3. Abbey Pontius

The bathroom is on the main floor. 🙂

It says its 16 miles from Estes. Is that a drive of like an hour because of the mountains? Just wondering how long of a drive to Estes and park would be every day. Thanks!

    1. Abbey Pontius

      Tammy,

This property is approximately 15-20 minutes into Estes Park downtown 🙂
      Not too bad.

    2. Tammy M Cory

So this is not by Grand lake on the other side of the park?

    3. Abbey Pontius

      Tammy,
We are located in Estes Park. This property is specifically located in a small subdivision between Estes Park and Allenspark called Meeker Park. No we are not on the western slope. We are on the eastern side of the divide.

    Hi,
Your property looks awesome! I do have a couple of questions. We are planning to come to explore RMNP. I don’t know that area well so I am wondering how far this property is from an entrance to the park. Also I am wondering if the cost listed is the total cost or will there be taxes and cleaning fees?

    Thanks!

That’s great that there is a piano. Is it tuned and playable? It would be lovely to practice there.

    1. Abbey Pontius

I am no pianist, but it sounds pretty good when my 10 year old pounds out “Mary had a little lamb” LOL!

  5. Celeste

Hi I was wondering if you get cell service there in the cabin? Looking to stay there and traveling with 2 small children so was wondering if we could use our phones.

    1. Abbey Pontius

      Celeste,
There is no cell service at this home. There is no WIFI either. There is a standard land line for emergency use if needed. This property is lovingly referred to as a disconnect and reconnect cabin. There is a DVD player, a piano, and so many outdoor things to see! Hope to hear from you to get this special place booked for your trip! Abbey

Hello! I noticed another comment mentioned a seasonal river on the property. How far is this from the house? Also, what is the other building on the property?

    1. Abbey Pontius

      Anne,
The stream is located a short jaunt down a rock ledge toward the view of Mount Meeker.
The little cabin you see on site is not open for the guests to go inside. Its called Twiggery. Its a historical architecture and very interesting. You can look inside from the windows but no access inside will be given. The river is down past this cabin.

Does this unit have 3 separate bedrooms, or just two full bedrooms and a den?

    1. Abbey Pontius

It has 2 full bedrooms. 1 with the bunk beds, the other as a master. The 3rd is really a den with a queen sized futon 😉

  8. teresa

Hello. Love this place. Is there a river for fishing close by?? Within walking distance??

    1. Abbey Pontius

      Teresa,

There is a seasonal stream that runs on the property just down from the house. Its a lovely place with wildlife, relaxation and wonderful views!

  9. pauline m elliott

Hello, does this cabin have a bedroom on the main level? Is the bathroom on the main level or upstairs?

    1. Abbey Pontius

      Pauline,

It has 1 bedroom on the main level. Which is the one you see with the bunk beds.
The master and den/futon rooms are upstairs.

Hello. Regarding #10, I am unable to tell from the pictures — Is there a shower in the bathroom (I see the tub). Also, can you tell me what town this is located in?

    Thank you

    1. Abbey Pontius

      Kerry,

Yes there is a shower. Its a combo unit. There is the large tub and a shower head in the same room. its all tiled and open.
The property is located about 15 minutes outside of Estes Park in a wonderful wooded subdivision called Meeker Park. It has unobstructed views of Mount Meeker. Located close to Lily Lake, Wild Basin and Twin Sisters trails. We would love to have you stay with us!! Give us a call 970-586-2950 to chat!
